Pros and cons of iCardio Heart Rate Training app for iPhone and iPad

iCardio Heart Rate Training app good for

Great app but a little expensive if you want to buy all its possibilities.
+ good connexion with cardio belt + lots of options and different activities + GPS ok - dont hold portrait/landscape neither for iPhone nor for iPad
A great program with new features being added regularly and the best technical support of any of my apps. Kudos.
Excellent, фантастически, I cant stay alone from it doing sports.
These guys really seem to know what they are doing! I started with their free app iBPM+ a year ago and at the time had to use their $150 hardware device called SMHEART LINK to enable heart rate monitoring on my iPhone. It was kind of big and had to be recharged and used a klunky ad hoc Wi-Fi connection to communicate with my iPhone. Nevertheless, it was really cool to have my iPhone track my cardio exercise. Now with their new $80 hardware device called Digifit Connect you simply insert it into the Dock connector (like Nike+ but better). You do have to pay for their new apps but they too are getting progressively better and now work on the iPad. I may just have to get an iPad now!
I have lots of free apps and all I can say is you get what you pay for! I was a little reluctant to pay $19.99 for an app when I was used to 99 cents or $4.99 tops but not only did I pay $19.99 for a one year subscription to iCardio but I also spent over $100 to purchase the additional hardware that is required to turn my iPhone into a heart rate monitor. In order to make this work you need an accessory, Digifit Connect, that is a receiver like the Nike+ one that plugs into your iPod. The receiver talks to ANT+ sensors so I had to buy a Garmin heart rate monitor too. So needless to say, this was not cheap. All that said I am thrilled! I now have an awesome heart rate monitor application on my iPhone that calculates caloric burn based on my heart rate intensity not by pulling a number out of the air. For about the same price as those heart monitors you wear on your wrist I have one on my iPhone and with the tap of a single button I can upload my data to the internet. As they say, you do indeed get what you pay for!

Some bad moments

very esthetic app complete but not work with Apple Watch sport sensor cardio frequency ... sync app pair but not with other HOPPE to be able...
Crashes. There you are, exercising for an hour. Then someone calls or you check something. Back to the App an NOTHING. all gone. No paused exercise, no resume, just everything gone. Makes this App utterly useless.
Attention to all iPhone 4s users. Do not update. App cannot be used due to hidden accept button.
One of two dongles failed after one week. App keeps on crashing. Subscription based - watch out! And after upgrading to iSpinner, it cleared the prefs. Cant remove default training profiles. Interface is sub-par.
I would rate this app and the associated required hardware lower if I could. The battery drain is huge and the app does little more than track heart rate in predetermined zones. I really expected to have the ability to create custom workouts. I have free apps that can do that for Petes sake. The subscription price is a joke considering the lack of any connection to an associated service (without additional fee) and the poorly programmed interface. Im hoping for an app update with huge improvement soon. Im also reviewing my retailers return policy.
I started using the Digifit since last week. It worked fine twice but, since 4 days ago, the application tool on my iPhone 4 has crashed suddenly, without any command from my side. No data was storage and I lost all data. I used to: - Run - QuickStart - Outdoor - Without music / time - Device was in the armband - Without case or bumper - Cowbell auto - Dangle up or down I have received the support from Digifit and I expect to overcome it urgently.
